Trade reviews are always nerve-racking…something that you’ve been creating and crafting and dreaming about is suddenly a packaged commodity, being analyzed and judged. It’s part of the process, and in theory we authors toughen up over time, but every time a new book makes its way into the world, I admit I get nervous.

So I am extra delighted that Kirkus Reviews seems to like Above All Else, my teen debut, coming in October.
